Asaluyeh workers continue protest for payment of unpaid wages

07Jul15

Workers in the Gulf port of Asaluyeh continue their protest for payment of their unpaid wages.

Contract workers in phases 15 and 16 of the Asaluyeh gas field, in the Special Economic Zone in Bushehr province, began their protest last week.

The workers have complained that the Iranian regime’s media have not been reporting their protest demanding their back pay.

The new round of protests by contract workers in phases 15 and 16 in the Asaluyeh zone started on Saturday, July 4. A group of workers gathered in front of the building known as the ‘hexagon’, where the main bosses live. They demanded the payment of their wages.

The previous round of protests by these contracts workers was in mid-March.
