At least 500 workers of the Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex gathered in front of the entrance to the complex on August 19 to demand higher bonuses.

On Sunday, August 9, contract workers in phases 20 and 21 of the Asaluyeh Special Economic Zone stopped work to hold a three-hour silent protest. The workers ended the stoppage after officials promised to pay their unpaid wages.
