The workers of the Dorud Cast Iron and Steel factory, in Lorestan Province, went on strike on September 19 demanding payment of three and a half months’ unpaid wages. The plant’s more than 100 workers are also concerned that their boss may be trying to close down the mill.

Over 1,000 workers at the Safa Rolling and Pipe Mills in Saveh are continuing their protest for a third day. On the second day of the protest production at the plant was brought to a standstill.

Across Iran thousands of teachers struck against low pay and grading after the regime’s authorities repeatedly ignored pleas about their economic situation.

On the morning of the seventh day of their industrial dispute Wagon Pars workers held a protests in front of the factory’s administration building.

Over 200 miners at Kooshk, Bafgh’s lead and zinc mine, went on strike for a fifth day. They were protesting against appalling conditions and unpaid wages.

On Sunday, November 16, about 1000 construction workers protested outside the Iranian regime’s ‘parliament’. They were protesting against proposed changes to the social insurance law. Sacked workers from Ilam Petrochemicals were also protesting against unpaid wages and being fired.
