According to information received from Mahmoud Salehi he is in a critical physical condition. Najibeh Salehzadeh, his wife, while confirming this said: "A long time ago one of Mahmoud's kidneys stopped working and at present he lives with a kidney that loses its efficiency every day. The prison authorities prevent his medicines from being delivered to the jail, even though as well as the severe kidney pain Mahmoud is also vomiting his water and food." The prison's medical officers have made it clear that he needs immediate medical treatment outside the jail. Najibeh Salehzadeh worriedly says that Mahmoud's situation is becoming more severe by the day and asks the labour activists of the world to rush to Mahmoud Salehi's aid. By enduring this unbearable pain in the prison of the capitalists Mahmoud Salehi, this tireless activist of the labour movement, is in fact being tortured. We are certain that Mahmoud Salehi can be freed from this critical situation only through the effort and struggle of his class brothers and sisters. Let us form a general solidarity and with all our might demand his unconditional release from prison.
