Statement 4
We workers know from experience that the courts of the capitalist government are only held when workers are to be tried and punished. We witnessed the sham trials of the Saghez activists last year. Now that a bunch of thugs from the Labour House and the Islamic Labour Councils, who are allied to the capitalist government, attack our fellow-workers no steps are taken.
We workers demand that a trial with independent international representatives is held immediately to investigate the crimes of these thugs. If the capitalist government does not arrest and punish these people, then the workers themselves will hold an independent trial with the direct supervision of representatives of independent international trade unions, the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU) and other organisations. If the capitalist government blocks this move then this trial can be held in another country.
The Workers' Action Committee calls on all workers to support the holding of this trial and that the representatives of the ICFTU take part in this independent workers' trial.
The Labour House thugs must be tried!
